A Day At The Gardens (and a new camera trick)

On Saturday my husband and I took our boys to the botanical gardens and aquarium here in ABQ. We had so much fun seeing the fish and flowers!

We were walking through the Japanese gardens when we remembered that we needed a new family picture! (The last one we got was in November when my grandpa died.) We put my phone on a rock with the camera and screen facing us and set the 10 second timer, I pushed the button and had time to get in position. Perfect impromptu photo!!! We took another one selfie style.

I am so grateful that I get to spend my days with my boys and husband!!! It is the little things in life that make them wonderful and bright!

At the retreat you guys asked to see my pages. Here they are!!

The month view. This is where I keep all my important dates like birthdays, appointments, holidays and deadlines. I can also write in if anything cool happened.

The emotion tracker. Where I mark how I felt that day. Emotions are important, the negative and the positive. Negative emotions tell us when we need to pay attention to something such as; when to eat, when you need to sleep, when something needs addressed, when you need to slow down. The negative also helps us appreciate the positive. The positive gives us hope.

Here is my habit tracker. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time remembering when I did something last. That is what this page is for. It also helps me start new habits, it takes 30 days to build a habit but only 3 to brake it.

This is my gratitude journal page. Every day I fill each space with things I’m grateful for (at least three). We all need to find a little light in our day. There is always something to be thankful for!

Friday was amazing at the Women’s Retreat put on by Professional Herbal Instruction! We had so much fun learning from Jessica James, Veronica James and Lynn Applegate! I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to speak with them! Im grateful that I got to meet all the wonderful, amazing women that were there!

You can’t make all your problems, stresses or trials go away; but you can make them brighter!

Most people will tell you that you have no control over the future. This is true to an extent. You can’t change the past or the weather. You can’t make people change or do what you want (that is their choice). Sometimes tragedy will hit.

You CAN change the way you think. What you do and say to others, how you see the world and your life, and you can even change (if you want) where you are in life!

Life is five percent what happens to me, and ninety five percent how I chose to act and think.

Through study (and personal trial and error) we have found some things, (that if done every day,) will help YOU to achieve this change.
